AUSTIN, TX, January 6, 2022; ESC Spectrum, an industry leader in air emissions monitoring and compliance, has acquired Monitoring Solutions, further growing the company’s footprint in the Continuous Emissions Monitoring (CEM) market. The acquired company will operate as Monitoring Solutions, an ESC Spectrum company. Monitoring Solutions has been helping customers meet demands for air pollution monitoring and reporting due to Part 60 and Part 75 regulatory requirements since 1997.

ESC was founded in 1969 with an initial focus on ambient air monitoring, then expanded into many different vertical markets, including continuous emissions monitoring. In 2018, ESC acquired Spectrum Systems, Inc., a CEMS services company. Spectrum certified the first Part 75 CEMS in the U.S over 35 years ago, and since then, their experts have delivered over 1000+ CEMS systems to customers. ESC legally changed its name to ESC Spectrum in 2020.

 

Monitoring Solutions was formed in 1997 through a buyout of the continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS) division of Enviroplan. In 2019, the company acquired Optimal Air Testing Services, Inc., a Wyoming-based provider of stack and source testing to support compliance, guarantee, and engineering services. Monitoring Solutions offers its customers and the marketplace competitive air emissions monitoring and compliance services across the Northwest and beyond. It also provides Part 60 & 75 facilities with the CEMDAS and COMDAS Data Acquisition Systems.
