Modbus 101: Beginner to Intermediate Configuration

Led by Yasmin Alkusari 

 

Modbus is a communications protocol that allows devices to pass numbers and statuses between each other over either serial or Ethernet connections. The Modbus 101 training will cover important concepts and practical applicationsYou will learn best practices and participate in hands-on and interactive exercises to help you understand key ideas. 

Modbus Concepts

  • Understanding Server and Client roles 
  • What are Registers and Coils 
  • Defining Binary and Hexadecimal Values and how they appear in the 8864 Data Controller 

You will learn practical applications, including: 

  • How to configure an 8864 Data Controller 
  • Modbus mapping 
  • Understanding bit parsing 
  • Server configuration files

ThermoFisher Analyzer Training

Led by Greg Owen & John Cutaia 

This specialized training session on ThermoFisher analyzers offers participants a thorough understanding of analyzer operations and maintenance.

The course includes a deep dive into the operational principles, focusing on the identification and operation of both electronic and mechanical components. Participants will learn best practices for parts replacement and preventive maintenance.

The training will also cover the flow path and provide step-by-step guidance on calibration procedures.

Additionally, attendees will be introduced to the operation firmware through a menu-driven flowchart and will develop key troubleshooting techniques to ensure the efficient functioning of ThermoFisher analyzers.

Teledyne Analyzer Training

Led by Greg Owen & John Cutaia

This comprehensive training session on Teledyne analyzers is designed to equip participants with in-depth knowledge of analyzer operations and maintenance.

 

The course will cover the fundamental operational principles, including the identification and operation of both electronic and mechanical equipment. Attendees will gain insights into parts replacement and preventive maintenance recommendations.

 

The session will also provide a detailed overview of the flow path and calibration procedures.

 

Additionally, participants will learn to navigate the operation firmware through a menu-driven flowchart and develop essential troubleshooting skills to ensure optimal analyzer performance.
